The online Train the Trainer course is designed to upskill you as a staff member to become a Student Minds trainer; this means you will be able to run the student workshop on campus.

This does not allow you to train other staff to run the workshop; all staff must complete the Train the Trainer course individually to become accredited trainers.

The online training takes place over three live modules of varying lengths, these take place via Zoom:

  1. Introductions to student mental health and the role of the student accommodation sector (2-3 hours)
  2. Key skills in supporting student mental health. Ideas and Action planning (2-3 hours)
  3. Reflective session and Q&A (30mins)

The in-person training covers the same content, just over 2 modules instead of 3. We can come to your accommodation to deliver this option.

Depending on the group size and delivery method, Accommodation Training will take between 6 – 7 hours to complete.
